Car Hire and Road Travel


To reach Rotterdam by car from Amsterdam you need to follow the A4/E19 until you reach the A13/E19. If you are travelling from Berlin, follow the A2 and A30, changing to the A1 and A28 in Holland. The A1 followed by the A16 will lead you to the port if you are travelling from Paris or Brussels.

Car hire is available in the city of Rotterdam and hire companies will arrange to meet you with a vehicle at the port. Many companies are represented in Rotterdam, but if you want to guarantee you secure a booking at the most affordable price, it is advisable to book online.

Trains and Rail Travel


It is possible to reach Rotterdam from Paris and Brussels on the train. You can also get the train to Amsterdam, which takes 50 minutes. Trains travelling to and from the UK first stop in Brussels before continuing on to Rotterdam.
