Port of Rotterdam

Harbour Information, Terminals and Facilities
(Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands)

Also known as Europoort, Rotterdam is the world's largest port, handling shipments from around the world as they arrive in Europe. The port is located about 37 km / 23 miles from the city centre of Rotterdam. The city itself is modern due to the rebuilding that took place in the decades following WWII.

Port facilities include restaurants and shopping, a bureau de change and a café.

Terminal facilities are accessible for people in wheelchairs and there are also modified restrooms.

The port is primarily a freight and cargo hub, with less passenger traffic than the Hook of Holland. This region has experienced significant renovation, and what is lost in old-world charm is made up for in modern convenience and accessibility.

Ferry Services

P&O Ferries runs a passenger and vehicle service to the port of Hull in England. Ships depart daily, and travel time is approximately 11 hours.

Ferries are equipped to accommodate those with disabilities, and anyone requiring special assistance should contact P&O prior to departure to make the appropriate arrangements.
